Where is the right spot??

There I was, waiting patiently for my forever never on-time bus, minding my own business by the side of the road.. and out came an indian guy in formal wear. He stood by the curb right at the junction. I thought he was waiting for the bus as was I but soon, I found out that he was constantly waving ferociously at every passing taxi.. :S so I thought what a guy.. he choose the best spot to call for a cab.... and its at the place where cars can't stop safely. Smart Guy!!
