The meaning of Election???

Its been a tradition for Malaysia's political party to advertise themselves during the month of election. During the month, you will see a lot of them loitering around, shagging people's hands and treating the residents to meals and so on... but is there a real need for all this? isn't this considered as bribery? for a government who kept on announcing zero corruption, why is there still a tradition as such being practised? and what provoked me most is that some parties visibly bullies the others. Try turning on the local broadcast and tuning in on your local radio channels.. Malaysia does not belong to a certain party... it belongs to the people... A MULTI RACIAL COUNTRY!!

well, I'm not going to go in-depth on that.. just in case some1 send the ISA up to my front door... :S ugh.... Free speech country they say... -_-|||

anyways... the topic of my discussion... Why the waste of money? Have you seen the amount of posters and banners around? and its not just one area.. its a nationwide activity.. just imagine millions or couple of hundred or millions wasted on all this unnecessary expenses which only last a month. I don't see there is a need for all this to happen. They have to advertise? Round up support, inform people bout the election? well, if so, they should put up a banner stating "Election is near" or "Remember your rights to vote" instead of the political party banners.. you see, if the politicians are caring enough and dedicate their life to make Malaysia a better place for us to be in, would they have to hypnotize us at the very last minute to tell us that they are good? Where are they when we needed them the most? Where were they hiding when there is no election? and they still have the face to tell people that they use their ears to listen, their eyes to see. if they are never out of the office, how do they listen and see? All those money wasted could have been used to build more school, clinic, hospital, and even be used to improve the public facilities..

Just the other day, I walked down the road and I saw lots of cars being towed by the authorities. Are they doing such because they over spend on their budget to hypnotize the people of malaysia? Where have all the tax we paid gone to?

What is Election? Just a spendthrift month with the peoples' money by the government :P lol
