Dieting for Photography

Wholemeal Spaghetti with Eggs

For the past 7 days I've been on a high protein low carb diet. 3 more days to go and carb load on the last day before the shoot. It's pretty much experimental on how my body works towards dieting. the last time i did for Hottest Hunks in Malaysia 09, i shrunk bt i was ripped to bits... lol.. so this time, il ripped and maintain my size before i start the next program to build more mass. It's not recommended for everyone to go this strict all of the sudden. 1st you will experience psychological depression as I totally cut out all my simple carbs and comfort food. then you will have to fight your cravings which will further increase your depression.. lol

Don't rush diet as nothing rushed will sustain. work your diet slowly so you will gain momentum and prolonged your healthy lifestyle. furthermore, rushing it will only hurt your body more and you are forcing your body to make drastic changes in a short period of time. take it one step at a time and you will see fruitful result.

Feeling Corny?

Whoa! POP CORN??? YUMMY?!! Am I sure?...... emm...

HELL YEAH!!

hahaha.... well, a lot of people consider popcorns as comfort food which is far from anything healthy.. well, it is comfort food but rather preparation is very important to either make it healthy o not.

Popcorn has been misjudged for many decades least centuries.. well, at least since it was found. Probably due to all the misguidance from the western movies we watched visibly showing how obese boys chowing ton and tons of popcorns in front of their tv or in the cinemas? probably... but popcorn itself is a healthy snack choice. It's a healthy whole grain choice which contains tons of fibers and merely just 93 calories with less than 1.5 gms of fat for a standard air-popped 3 cups serving without any other ingredients.

but unfortunately, society today would not risk their taste buds for anything less than tasty to enter the gateway to their heart. Ingredients such as caramel, sugar, butter... etc have been added to taste as well as fats and calories. Need I say more the next time you visit a cinema.. you know what to do... Usually I either sneak my own snacks if the confectionery in the cinema lacks of the choice.... (will be discussed in the next log) Sorry Cinema owners, but if only you have healthier selections other than the carbonated sugary drinks and those fatty and high calories snacks, probably the health conscious crowd would let you earn their hard earn cash.

Well, new research has found out that popcorns has got large level of health-boosting antioxidants called "polyphenols" Polyphenols found in fruits and vegetables are thought to help reduce the risk of heart disease, cancer and other diseases.

So I'd say "POP that CORN but CORN it NATURALLY"

Doing it the C70 Way!!

The Vintage Honda C70

A lot of people will start off with a bang and ended up banging on the wall at the end of the day, being sent to ICU, swear that they will continue on right after discharged only to find themselves on the couch watching soap Drama for the rest of their life till another heat stroke.... and the cycle returns over and over again............ are you one of them?

The Secret to have a continuous relay is to go slow and pick up the pace at a reasonable speed. Do not be intimidate cause I know how it feels like to be carrying a 1.5lbs plates to each side doing a barbell curl next to a monstrous 3 X 30lbs plates barbell sides, puffing and screaming at every curl, veins as thick as a water hose.... but hey, that guy beside you have to start somewhere... even if he tries to intimidate you, he weren't born "Samson" his only advantage is that he started a lot earlier than you... that's all... so quit looking left and right trying to spot a hot chic or hunk and concentrate on ur "IRONS & PLATES"!!! cause that way you will reduce the amount of intimidation....

When I 1st started way back in 90's, I went about it the wrong way... I went ultra Heavy on the 1st day due to my ULTRA motivations... lol.. but only to find myself aching for a good week and out of the gym... momentum was lost..not only that, I injured my muscles too... anyways... mistakes are opportunities to learn and improve...

Start on a reasonable pace.. give it a week or two.. don't have to worry if you are not feeling the pain... nor bout how much sweat u discharged... nor how long the OTHER guy's been on his treadmill... its not about how much muscle u packed in that day or how much fats you've burn..

let your body get use to the punishment before you torture it.
