A Malay Wedding @ Shah Alam
One of those events Im involved in.. this one here is the most exaggerated.. they have 14 canopy being set up.. whoa... 14 is a huge number... what do u think they do for a living...?? anyways, the neighbours told me that they had another wedding recently (eldest Son) and just as much being spent... lol
anyways, they are horrible at giving directions and worst when it comes to organizing people. Anyways, I arrived early and started setting up my system at their neighbour's garage.. The mother of the bride came over just when I was about to setup the speakers and asked of me, "Can you set these speakers here at the start of the show and shift to the other end when they are having the performance?" Weirdest request I've received so far and of course, I think she doesn't think when she speak. and worst of all, its gonna rain soon too. anyways, I explained to her that If she wanted it that way, I've to take time to shift the speakers from one end to the other and re-routing the wiring. But the food was great and of course, The Traditional Kelantan Durian Cendol (Shaved Ice Dessert)
Oh well, All I could say is that She is the worst client yet... lol
Setting up the system inside the neighbour's garage
initial Location of the speakers because they don't want it to be too loud...
Playing around with the volume..
Look at the stretch of the canopy..
Getting ready before the main star arrive
Being King and Queen for just a day's worth..
The arrival of the couple..
Hey, every1 should try this out.. and they are open to be catered..
Well, have to admit, they have the best yet taste in just about everything...

Chinese New Year Concert at NZX
Well, as u can see.. this is a log from months ago... emm... my bad... its a log on months ago news.. lol... well, Since NZX ... Niu Zhe Xui... muahahaha... speaking of which... one of my friend had this real life joke... months ago... He came over to NZX with another friend... and out of the sudden.. another one of his friend called him and asked him where he was... so he told him in "NZX" of course.. since the marketing for the place was bad.. no one knew... and so he told him in chinese... "Niu Zhe Xui"... and still confused.. and asked for the English name... and again he said it in chinese pronounciation with a little english slang... lol... and his friend thought he was playing around and demanded a straight answer... and my friend said... "come on over and you will see that Im not joking around.... cause its really called "Niu Zhe Xui" in english... lol... direct translation... muahahahahaha.....
anyways.... Well, its a ghost town here... no one comes here cause the location is not strategic.. no bus passes here and if you are not living here... you won't know it.. cause its really deep within the housing area... I wonder whose smart idea it was to build it there.... lol... So.. if there is no function or event.. its always empty...
anyways.... so... I was wondering about aimlessly with my friend and suddenly saw a massive crowd flocking the area and stages were being constructed and stuff... so we decided to stop by and have a look.. out of curiosity... and I found out that there will be a concert that night by hong kong artist.. and they are selling the Chinese NEw year goods... no wonder... Told my friends that I wanted to go home to grab my slr to snap some shots... cause im a curious little kid mah... lol.... and we did... came back for a couple of shots and wonder about while my friends browse for CNY goods.. and we left for dinner...
when we came back... I notice the rain clouds closing in... and I suspect its about to rain... I went in and took a few shots before the thunder strike and lightning roared... and raindrops started pouring in like waterfalls.... everyone was running about and Yet... I managed to take couple of shots... lol... the concert was ruined by the heavy downpour.. and guess what.. everytime they have a concert... it rains every single time.. up till now... lol
Look at that... usually, its empty... due to the CNY event.. ppl r flocking in
well, if you pass by ara damansara and wonder where NZX is... try to find the plum Blossom trees
Everyone is excited to participate to win some prize
How the stage looked like.. no wonder I can't miss it...
check out the overly eager crowds....
look at that... just imagine how the artist and prizes can attract ppl
I kinda like this worm eye view shot... bt the lighting is a bit off... :(
My god sister walking to find a place to rest..
and check that out.. the RELA squad taking a break to watch the show...
its really empty now and the donuts r not fresh anymore... no customer to keep em baking..
Argh.... the contras is bad... under exposure..
this is a very distinctive sight on CNY everywhere... these oranges means fortune to the chinese..
NZX actually invited Starbucks over thinking it will attract the younger crowds... lol... u make the guess...
Its still very empty then.. bt there are more shops now... the lighter unit is a animal groom station now...
the architecture is not too bad... bt impractical... all the air condition escaped making the whole area a huge sauna..
all the CNY decorations r up... lots of reds...
The temp build up stalls outside by the carpark...
look at that... tons of tons of red merchandise....
and lots of delicious finger food for sell here....
well, ppl here r more creative compared to back home... usually, they just don't bother to decorate cause ppl's going to buy anyways...
and bamboo is very sellable during the chinese new year.. so are the vases..
lots of dried food.. especially the barbecue dried meat..
In action... here he is making one of our chinese delicacies here in Malaysia... "Rou Kan" Dried meat
Trying to stuff my phones into my pockets next to these artificial Plum Blossom
Not like I can sniff anything out of these light bulbs... muahahaha..
I thought it this scene looks cute... doing homework or accounting??
whoa... I remember this... my parents used to buy boxes n boxes for me and my brother when we were young.. Don't have to burn.. just throw and they will explode
more lantern and cards..
the dancers getting ready... practising their dances..
and curious customers watch on... look at how the gal is standing... :P

and more practises....
some of them don't even mind standing under the hot sun... mayb trying to learn a trick or two..
The most important booth in any event... the sound system crews...
I wonder who these dancers are..??
sigh... obviously... iv got nothing to do.. so I took tons of these shots here on the crowds... lol
Big Apple chefs in action... one of the guy actually did something wrong and asked for his co-worker to help...
look at the mandarin oranges... boxes n boxes...
lots of curious window shop... pe.... emmm..... watchers... lol
well, a picture tells a thousand words.... that is actually the air conditioner...
ta-da.... here is the fun part.... minutes before the concert starts.. the place is packed..
The crowd was very persistant.....
and .... they didn't really cared bout the drizzle... and stood their ground on the best spot..
Lots of senior citizens came to watch....
and when the rain got heavier...
they start to worry... and looked for shelters..
Run forest... run........ emmm.... lari hutan... lari....
drying off... and squeezing through the crowds..
well, like i said ... the architecture is very realiable... the kids are making sure its put to good use
Every one was trying to get in.. bt the kids hung on
and finally... due to the rain... every1 decided to take a stroll under the sheltered area... and so... the concert was... unsuccessful.. but the marketing plan was a great big success... cause ppl ended up shopping.. lol
